Alright Oppos, so as we know and agree

. Even then I decided to trudge through the attic clearing known as Prime day and try to find a good deal. Lo and behold I see a nice 39” Vizio TV is going to go on sale. So I patiently wait for the TV to go on sale, when the clock hits zero I go to place my order and for some reason it won’t add to the cart. Turns out
they moved the deal back an hour,
isn’t that some shit? So naturally being frustrated I contact support and ask them what’s going on? Now I don’t know if the person I was talking to was genuinely clueless or was told to give a cookie cutter response, but either way it’s very frustrating to have support tell you something that’s not true. First they tried to tell me that all of those TVs sold within 10 seconds. After telling him it looks like the deal was pushed back, I’m told they don’t know if the deal will be posted again. After telling him it’s already been posted I’m pretty much told “Well I don’t know if we’ll cancel it or pull it”. I get it, I’m using Amazon’s service and I’m subject to playing by their rules, but come on jerking around their customers like that is not okay.
TL;DR, Amazon likes to lie

I had the same problem. I just so happened to be looking around for car chargers, Lightning-USB chargers, and external battery chargers. 99% of items on sale were particularly lackluster and indeed looked like items that would be on clearance at Walgreens, as one Gawker commenter put it.
A deal was supposed to go live at 7:45am central standard time on a 10400mah external battery that was originally $20. So I figured, alright, it’s a half hour wait to get it a little cheaper. The sale went live, I immediately added it to my cart and then Amazon’s page tells me that I am on the waiting list. I promptly rid myself of the item, googled Kinja Deals, and picked up this:
With a special code at check out that knocked $9.50 off the price. So for $13.49, I get an external battery charger that will provide at least 3, max 4 or 5 charges for my iPhone 5S.
Quite satisfied with the purchase, and rather than risk getting a new car charger, I will probably round up the money to get an authentic Lightning-USB cable that is directly made by Apple as I already have a device to plug into in my car.

If Amazon’s Prime Day were a movie, it would be “Amazon Prime, Episode I, the Phantom Sale.”
A butt-ton of hype with tremendous anticipation followed by massive disappointment.
